A westbound rounds the fill on this part of the Crookton Cutoff, approximately halfway between the control points (crossovers) at East and West Eagle Nest. We are in the Kaibab National Forest lands that encompass this area, perhaps 15 miles from the closest person. There IS cell phone service up here, but it is spotty at best.
