Amtrak continues it's eastbound journey departing Kalamazoo past BO Tower. The connection in the foreground was installed by Conrail as part of their route rationalization in Michigan in the late 70s and allowed the abandonment of the old Air Line from Three Rivers to Jackson, MI. It is NS property but Amtrak and Grand Elk RR (Watco) are the tenants.
